Retired BC otolaryngologist who has been working in Haiti since 1993 as a shortterm missionary with Missions of Love out of Hartford, KY. We have set up an adequately equipped eye exam clinic and supply appropriate eyeglasses for the poor. We also treat simple eye diseases. As of yet, we do no surgery other than simple clinic emergencies. The eye clinic is part of a large medical clinic operation and there are many other evangrelistic and educational ministries. We are using the training received as a Naval Flight Sugeon.
We are looking for ophthalmologists and/or optometrists interested in short or long term service to work in this ministry and help train our very talented and concientious Haitian staff. Ultimately, we hope to be advisors and teachers while the Haitians take over the clinic.
