About us:
We at ASHA KIRAN (A Rural Development Organisation) was established with the sole ambition to work for the comprehensive development of the rural poor, downtrodden and the underprivileged, especially rural women and children in the backward coastal district of Prakasam. The development includes in the aspects of health, education, environment, culture and rural development.
Our Mission:
To promote a society wherein women and children, the poor, marginalized and backward
communities have equal share and opportunities to be self reliant with justice, equity and pride. Enhancing the quality of life and empowering families and communities irrespective of caste, creed and religion through charitable initiatives towards substantial progress.

At present we are doing Prenatal and Postnatal program in rural areas. India’s neonatal mortality rate is high, birth weight is low and far too many children suffer the consequences of being under nourished in the mother’s womb.
We at ASHAKIRAN would like to address this need through our Prenatal & Postnatal Home Visitors Program such as healthy weight gain, nutrition & depression during or after pregnancy.
The total cost for the first year program is $24000. We will expand the program to more villages as per the need and availability of funds.
