I founded and direct a not for profit organization with a mission to fight infant and maternal mortality in Desarmes, Haiti. We currently have programs with a focusing on educating expectant moms and new moms in the community. We also have a literacy class for women. And we just sent a Haitian nurse to become trained as a midwife/skilled birth attendant. We recently purchased land for the future birthing center. I am looking for a female mentor with a similar mission and heart for women, families and community.
