Hello! I am currently a fourth year medical student at Eastern Virginia Medical Student in Norfolk, VA and am currently applying for a General Surgery residency. I'm originally from Orange County, CA, born and raised in Anaheim Hills. The reason why I want a mentor is because I lack mentorship at my church specifically for mission work abroad while I was in medical school. Although I have great fellowship and spiritual guidance at my current church, I really want a mentor that understands the challenges of living out the Christian faith in a very high-pressure environment. Having a mentor to share with me wisdom and guidance to stay true to my calling of being a medical missionary is something I want to pursue more intentionally during residency, especially since I am pursuing perhaps one of the most challenging residencies in General Surgery.
