During Urbana' 12 I felt an undeniably nudge from God towards mid-term or long-term missions. Whether that be a third world country or inner city America, I know God wants me to fully trust in Him now, before I try to plan my life out beforehand. Although I know God will surely provide everything, I would be lying if I said I had no fears. However, I do know that “Do not fear,” is the most repeated command in the New Testament. God knows his children will be anxious and fearful, and he repeatedly assures us He’s in control and He will always take care of us. Holding onto that promise, as big as my fears are – my faith is bigger.

I still can’t comprehend the greatness of God’s love and grace, but I can relish in the beauty that I’ll never fully grasp it (Ecclesiastes 8: 17). However, I do know one thing. My purpose on earth is to breathe life into the words my parents made me pray daily: “Let thy Kingdom come” (Matthew 6:10). My walk on earth is to bring God glory and to show people the intimate, incredible love of Christ – and it’s a purpose I’m honored to have and ready to live out.
