Hi! My name is Courtney Batchelor and I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Nutrition Science. I am currently applying to PA school to start in the fall of 2016, and in the meantime I am living at home in Charlotte, NC and working at a chiropractor's office. I love adventures of all kinds, whether it is hiking in a national park, cliff jumping, kayaking, ding dong ditching a famous person's house, or trying a hole in the wall restaurant. I have a passion for traveling, and have had the opportunities to travel to Central America, South America, Africa and Europe. I truly want to make a difference in the world, and hope to participate in medical missions once I am certified as a physician assistant. My dream is to one day completely renovate the children's hospital in Accra, Ghana that I shadowed at when I studied abroad there two summers ago. I would also love to be involved in education worldwide, and feel strongly about empowering people in developing countries to help those around them. I hope to spend my time serving not only medically, but also teaching about medicine, nutrition and healthy lifestyle.
