David is a retired School Counselor living near Dayton, Ohio. He became involved in Short-Term Missions (STM) shortly after graduation from Bethel College in Indiana. His love for STM prompted numerous domestic and international trips, and he led several international trips. His view of STM had a metamorphosis when he attended CHE training. Since that time, he has passionately encouraged individuals and groups to enhance their efforts in STM by committing to the development of communities over the long-term.

He currently volunteers with Global CHE Network, an organization that trains USA and indigenous churches, agencies, and other organizations how to do community development that aligns with the Great Commission and the Greatest Command. He is also a consultant with the United Methodist Church, working with them to improve the process of missions around the globle.
