David Krier, MD, MSPH received his medical degree from the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine and a Masters of Science in Public Health from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He studied Family Medicine in Tacoma, Washington and became Board Certified in that specialty in 1982. Following his medical training he practiced for a number of years in rural communities in western Oregon. During those years in private practice he became involved with medical volunteer work in developing countries.
He eventually left private practice and entered the field of administrative medicine. With the regular schedule that such a change provided he was able to focus more of his energy on his growing passion for international humanitarian work. That led to the creation of Volunteer Voyages LLC in December of 2007, a company whose stated mission is, “Enriching lives through volunteer service adventures”.
David is a native of Oregon and resides on a farm near St Paul with his wife, Mary Jane. All four of his daughters and their husbands, along with 9 grandchildren, live in Oregon.
