I have arrived to the world of mission-focused work after a circuitous journey through the fields of international economics, corporate finance and business marketing where I founded and managed a company for twenty years. During that time I obtained a Masters in Healthcare Administration, and in my spare time I served as a patient advocate in many healthcare organizations around the country. Building sustainable solutions to healthcare and economic needs in developing countries had been a passion of mine since college, but due to many circumstances, it remained a personal interest rather than the focus of my career.

My most important role was being Lauren's mother. I raised her on my own and she was not only my best friend, but my reason for being. My world collapsed the day she died unexpectedly. I knew I was facing the choice of dying with her or living for her, and I chose the second. Through the course of my soul-searching for a new purpose in life, I developed the personal mission to prevent other mothers from the heartbreak of losing a child. It is this new calling which led me to dedicate my time to non-profits focused on saving lives for the past five years.

I joined Supplies Over Seas (SOS), a Louisville-based medical surplus recovery organization as CEO in December, 2016. The circuitous journey I have been on for many years so clearly has been preparing me for this role. My life-long passion to effect positive change in impoverished communities, a healthcare background, and a deep heartfelt commitment to children and mothers drives my dedication at SOS. We are growing rapidly and our team is committed to meeting needs with excellence. Our current priority is building our mission partner network to match the growth in our medical supply and equipment collections.

I am following God's path to bring "health and hope" to those in need , and I have an angel at my side each day. I have truly been blessed.
