I am currently finishing my BSN and in January starting the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program (Dec '16 grad) at The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. I have a passion for the Latino community and children specifically; I have served from 2 weeks to 2 months in Mexico, Guatemala, and Chile. Guatemala was a service learning trip through the school of nursing Jan '14; it's where I realized this could be reality for me one day. Before choosing nursing, I dreamed of missions abroad. This is a second career for me; my undergraduate degree is in Business and Finance from the University of San Diego. I worked in the corporate world for 7 years in Seattle, WA, where my parents live, and was successful but found no meaning in that life. My father is a pastor and mother is a child psychologist; I think their fields have had a major impact on my life. I am active in my church, help lead Bible study and volunteer in the nursery. Baltimore City offers a diverse people to commune with and serve. I enjoy running, hiking, and really any activity outdoors. Community, family, and friends are very important to me. Psalm 139 is my favorite chapter to read over and over again.
