Grew up in OH, became a believer in Jesus in high school my freshman year when I started to go on short term mission trips in the summers. That’s where God gave me a passion and burdened my heart to help the poor. He coupled that with my fascination for medicine and I was blessed in being able continuing this pursuit of medicine without a hitch. I just graduated an amazing family medicine residency in Ventura CA this past july (who would have thought I’d be in California—Not 16y old me!) and am now doing an OB fellowship in san jose, hoping to become better equipped in learning more high risk and surgical obstetrics to serve women and children in rural, underserved areas across the world, sharing the love of Jesus through work and life. God has really placed a passion in my heart to work with women. Also, I am married to an amazing man of God, David, who shares the passion to spread the love of God to any and all who will listen who are seeking to fill that desire for knowing who they are in this big world and that they are loved unconditionally by a God who also loves justice and the poor. My husband works as a graphic designer, webdesigner, etc. and has passion to work with children. We long to praise God with others for His gift of grace & belief he has given us and His continuous mercy and love despite our failures and sometimes deliberate disobedience. We are looking for a place where both our skillsets can be used best, wherever. Especially if the name of Jesus has not been made known! There are so many places, we are praying for guidance where this will be in the upcoming years. We seeking a mentor to help us find how we can start equipping our hearts in preparation for overseas missions sometime after my training is complete next august 2016.
(a fav. verse: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 cor 12:9)
