I am a new nurse, a graduate from Indiana University School of Nursing. I have began my nursing career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. My heart has always been in missions and going to serve the Lord. I currently have my minor in Spanish from Indiana University and am debating on returning for another year to receive a bachelors in Spanish.
My missions experience include a week in Jamaica doing construction work with my youth group, a week in Ecuador doing drama ministry, and another two weeks (a different year) in Ecuador doing street ministry and construction as well as interpretation for the group. I have also spent 2 months in Mexico in a total language immersion program in high school.
Currently I work as a Registered Nurse on the PICU floor, as I mentioned above. I previously worked at Indiana University West Hospital on an adult Medical/Surgical floor. I have also worked in the Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, and Special Care Nursery in the same hospital. Currently, in the pediatric ICU world, I am on day shift and seeking opportunities to advance my career and skills.
I hope to listen to God's spirit as I begin to grow in my career; perhaps missions is in my future.
