My first long-term overseas experience was being stationed in Japan during my five years in the U.S. Marine Corps. After the military, I immediately started college at Dallas Baptist University, where I met my wonderful wife and completed a degree in Biology. DBU gave me an opportunity to go on a medical mission trip to Jamaica, and I was immediately hooked on medical missions.
I am now a researcher at UT Southwestern Medical Center who is entering medical school at UT Houston in July of 2016! I pursued medicine for the purpose of medical missions. My wife and I are interested in long term missions in Africa after my medical training is complete. We have ties to some of the eastern african countries such as Ethiopia, and we are interested in Kenya specifically as a place to start mission work. We are open to short-term opportunities anywhere.
