Kristen White is the Director of Mobilization at California Baptist University. Her task at CBU is to mobilize and train more than 400 students, staff, and faculty annually to participate in the International Service Projects (ISP) and United States Projects (USP) programs. In the past 19 years, CBU has sent more than 4,000 participants (85% during Kristen’s 10-year tenure) on 442 teams to 58 countries on 6 continents. In addition to supervising CBU's global mobilization efforts, she also teaches intercultural communication and introduction to global studies. Although currently residing in Riverside, she is an Oklahoman at heart. After graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1997, she served as a Journeyman with the International Mission Board for 2 years in East Asia, where she studied Mandarin and taught English. Upon returning to the states in 2000, she relocated to San Francisco for 5 years where she completed two master's degrees – one in Theological Studies and one in Intercultural Studies – while working at both Golden Gate Seminary on behalf of Union University as the Global Studies Program Coordinator and at First Baptist Church as the Director of Global Ministries. Over the past decade, she has traveled to 44 countries. At Magnolia Church, she has served on the College and Global Ministry Teams. While serving as a trustee for the International Mission Board since 2011, she has served as Chair for Central Asia Peoples and served on the 2014 Presidential Search Team. Kristen's ministry calling is to train and equip God's people for acts of good service throughout the world.
