I have a great love for teaching and missions. I am a pediatrician, homeschool mother, and former classroom teacher with a certification in elementary education. Received my B.A. from Northwestern University where I studied in the School of Education majoring in Human Development and Social Policy while competing on a full athletic scholarship in basketball. I am a former 5th grade classroom teacher with a masters degree in education. I completed my M.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and trained at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL. I continue to have wonderment for the beauty of God's creation in the human body. I left formal medicine in the E.R. to stay home and homeschool my three children. However, I practice medicine as a missionary doctor at local clinic for those without health insurance at a Christian Clinic in the Chicago suburbs.
I have taught hands-on science in many different settings and forums. I have spoken at a large variety of support groups, community organizations, and conventions such as the Illinois Christian Home Educators convention. I serve on the board of directors for the ParentalRights.org that is seeking to defend the rights of parents through an amendment to the U.S. constitution. I am passionate about the biological sciences, children, education, families, and the God who created all things.
