Bio for Lee D. Jacobs, M.D.
Dr. Lee Jacobs is an Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease physician as well as the Associate Editor-in-Chief for The Permanente Journal – a scientific medical journal which has 25,000 print readers per quarter and one million website hits in 2011 from 150 countries.
Dr. Jacobs was a leader for 27 years with Permanente Medical group (Kaiser Permanente), primarily was an associate medical director. Kaiser Permanente has 8.9 million health plan members, 167,300 employees, 14,600 physicians, 37 hospitals, and 611 medical offices.
Dr. Jacobs is the founder of the North American Haiti Partnership, a non-profit organization focused on mobilization North American churches to serve in Haiti. He also has been the missions pastor for Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, Georgia.
Additionally, Dr. Jacobs is the medical director for the Bethesda Community Clinic, a primary care clinic for the uninsured in Holly Springs, Georgia and a medical director for the Disney and Crystals cruise lines.
He is a co-author of a book – Going Prepared.
He is married to Deb Jacobs and has three children and two granddaughters.
