I'm originally from South Africa but I have lived in Michigan since 2007. I just graduated from Hope College with a degree in Biology and French. I am currently in the med school application cycle in the USA but have also been accepted to a South African Medical School and am trying to decide in which country I should get my medical training and where international degrees would be honoured. I would like to eventually practice in a rural area in Southern Africa and share my faith through my work, but I do not know if I would do that in the capacity of missionary or just as an "ordinary" doctor. I love nature and outdoor adventures, which is part of why I want to work in a rural area.
