I am a Volunteer Relationship Specialist for Medical Teams International (MTI). Our teams is always looking for amazing volunteers to support our work around the world. We have opportunities for medical - esp. Maternal and Child Health, OB/GYN, CNM, L&D, Neonatologists, Family Medicine, Sonographers, Biomedical Technicians, Physical Therapists, Optometrists and Paramedics. We build capacity of healthcare workers by coming alongside to provide training, share expertise and provide respite for staff. We are seeking experts with IMCI (integrated management of childhood illness), BLSS (Basic Life Saving Skills), HBMNC (Home Based Maternal & Newborn Care), CME (Continuing Medical Education), Routine L&D and essential newborn care as well as mentoring midwives and nurses in CEmONC (Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care.
Our international Dental programs reach out to refugees in Greece and Uganda as well as support those needing care in Cambodia, Moldova and Romania. We serve 18,000+ each year through our Pacific Northwest Dental program.
We also provide Community Impact teams to Guatemala to build stoves and latrines addressing basic health care needs and improving lives.
