Have had the most blessed life of anyone I know. Retired from the IHS while serving on the Navajo reservation in New Mexico after being there for seven years. Adopted a sibling group of six children. Started a food bank and a mission depot for churches to come out and do repairs on elders houses (hogans). Developed a brain tumor and had it removed in 2010. Had to start chemo at Moffitt Cancer Center. Given one year to live without treatment and up to three years if I had treatment. My three years came and went this past June. I started writing a weekly devotion for the church where I am presently serving and running their food bank and thrift store. Placed all writing on echosofgrace.com and when I reach 365 I will go back, edit and add scriptures. I am cancer free by the grace of God. I currently spend my days volunteering with the church and providing a home for the six we adopted and my oldest daughters best friend who became homeless last Christmas.. I have up until the last three years worked in at least forty hospitals or clinics with as many as four at the same time. I was the regional triage coordinated for the eastern portion of the Navajo Nation when with IHS. I have worked on three other reservations and started two home health agencies while in New Orleans. I was a Navy Corpsman in the US Navy. Vietnam Era veteran and served HCT 16 and several flight squads as a Search and Rescue and after that ran a medical lab for the Atlantic fleet aboard the USS Sierra AD 18.. I am not afraid to do any task and would never ask someone to do a task I would not do. I try to do to the best of my ability to Act justly, Love Mercy and Walk Humbly.
