Member Bio

Dr. Paul Larson is faculty at the UPMC St. Margaret Family Medicine Residency as Director of Global Health Education and Assistant Director of Family Medicine Obstetrics. He is a graduate of Gordon College and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed Family Medicine Residency at The Washington Hospital in Washington, Pennsylvania and a Post-graduate diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at the University of Liverpool, U.K. He subsequently practiced full-spectrum family medicine for two years at the A.I.C. Kapsowar Mission Hospital in Kenya with Africa Inland Mission International. He returned to the USA in 2009 to complete an MS in medical education at the University of Pittsburgh and a fellowship in faculty development at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Family Medicine, UPMC St. Margaret. He now is volunteer faculty with The Institute for International Medicine (INMED) at BMC Hospital in Ghana and committed to assisting in the international development of primary care and Family Medicine postgraduate training.
