Hello from Peru! I have been a medical missionary here with SIM since 2000. I ran a mobile clinic in the Andes for many years and helped start the Hospital Diospi Suyana. Was field director of Peru until I lost my wife to a brain tumor in May of 2016.
I have a passion for discipling one-on-one so when I schedule my patients they each get an hour, even if it is a simple ear infection, so they can talk as much as they want! I feel it is important that physicians are role models of physical activity and am fortunate to be healthy enough to run and swim. If you are in Arequipa, Peru, let me know and we'll go for a run and talk about medical missions!
My sending church is Christ Community Church of Omaha (Christian Missionary Alliance) and I serve a small Baptist church near where we live in Tiabaya, Peru.
