Daystar Adopt A Village (DAAVI) was established in 2000 when I was called to go to Sierra Leone to win souls for the kingdom of God. The war was still on and the Holy Spirit told me the reason for the war was they lacked the love of God in them and without the peace of God the war would continue or if it is stopped it would start again. Since June 2002 we have been going once a year the first two weeks in June. We are non-denominational and have been all over the country planting churches in partnership with Pentecostal churches looking to expand their outreach. We were given land to build a Village of Hope for orphans to include a church, clinic, school and a library. We have a number of elderly who have lost their children and can assist in creating a home for these orphans. Sierra Leone suffers from high rate of orphans as a result of the high mortality rate at childbirth, from Aids and now Ebola. We can develop agricultural projects to maintain the orphanage. I am originally from Sierra Leone and willing to go and stay in the country to accomplish that. Skills I lack are fundraising, construction, developing websites, etc.
