I am currently new nurse working in Grand Rapids, MI. I grew up in a very traditional, Biblically sound church, in an incredible family which was built on the love of God and commitment to Him. I feel God tugging my heart to be a medical missionary. I love being a nurse and am hoping to be a missionary in that capacity. I know that God may not necessarily call me to global missions, and that God calls me to be a missionary now, where I live, work, and learn. For the future, I am not sure in what capacity He would have me serve or in what part of the world, but my response is that of Isaiah's : "Here I am Lord, send me!" I am able to speak moderately well in Spanish as a second language, and I pray that God can also use that aspect of the skills that He has given me. I think that God is calling me to be a long-term missionary - to settle down in a population and invest my life into them. I am excited about the prospect of mentorship and learning through a close relationship with someone who has had more years and different experiences of walking with the Lord.
