I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a heart for people with emotional wounds and illnesses. I have practiced in several major hospitals and home health agencies in the U.S. as a mental health care professional over the past 10 years. I have raised three children, the last of whom left for college last year. I am single, and have an empty nest, (except for my dogs, Helmut and Whiskers). I am seeking an opportunity to serve God full time in any way that He directs. I am devoted to Jesus. I have witnessed His life giving power and healing in my own life, and that of many others, including my patients, family, friends, and colleagues. I would like to found a ministry that will provide Christian mental health care to hurting people, if that is God's will. I know that there is no healing for spiritual, emotional, physical or mental illness without the power of Jesus. I wish to teach the people who have these illnesses and their caregivers about them, and to introduce or reacquaint them to Him. I am seeking to be able to provide this kind of care without the hindrance of problems associated with traditional mental health care in the current corporate arenas and systems that are hostile to the Christian perspective. I am open to any suggestions, and have many ideas and treatment programs that I have developed and used successfully with patients of all ages and diagnoses. The name of my treatment program and philosophy is "LovingKindness". It is a Bible based concept for mental health care that is built on healing in the name and by the power of Christ, along with the most current professional knowledge of evidenced- based practice in clinical mental health care.
