Dr. Rhonda Pruitt is a pioneer of global Member Care. She has served in missions for over 27 years with field service in Asia and Europe. In Budapest, Hungary she interned for two years in Neurology at Leport Hospital as part of her psychology training. In Budapest she led an outreach to medical students at Semmelweis University. Out of her experience flows a passion for missions and the care of cross-cultural personnel. Dr. Pruitt founded the first academic training program in Member Care at Columbia International University. While serving in Europe, she initiated a Member Care Center and assisted in establishing European Member Care. Currently she directs the Asia Member Care Degree Program, held on the campus of Asian seminaries.
Dr. Pruitt serves as a member of the Global Member Care Conference board, a ministry of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA). The first Global Member Care Conference was held in 2012 in Thailand. She has also served as a program coordinator for "Mental Health and Missions Conference" since 2002, the annual training conference for mental health professionals in North America.
