I am entering 2nd year of medical school in Detroit at Wayne State. I am married and we have a 7 month old daughter. I spent 2 years in Uganda after graduating from DePauw, where I met and got married to my husband. He is a Ugandan pastor with a heart for ministering to young adults. We live in Detroit together now. He is taking classes to finish a bachelors in pastoral ministry and working part-time. We have sought the Lord for vision and after I complete residency we plan to move to Uganda or another East African country. I am interested in family medicine or OB/GYN - I want to train in NaPro Technology and be able to treat women's reproductive health issues in a way that honors each individual as a unique person -- i.e. teach natural family planning methods, treat infertility/multiple miscarriages, manage pregnancies. Also, I'd like to reach women who have been abused or trafficked or are recovering from an abortion.
