Elephants, giraffes, antelope and zebras were common animals I saw as a child in Kenya. I had a wonderful plan for my life that included fashion and marketing, but God's plan was much more colorful and challenging: becoming a nurse, going to the nations- in particular Muslims of South Asia! One month after moving to South Asia, He brought two young men to our door asking questions about Jesus! We were able do share the journey with them as they faced persecution from their family and neighbors. One young man was jailed and beaten, but when he saw us, said "I was afraid when they were beating me, but I remembered that Jesus too was beaten. I am privileged to suffer in this small way for Him!" Trekking through some of the highest mountains in the world, and working in some of the largest cities in the world, we have been able to share His story among women and children using preventive health lessons, nutrition and blood pressure clinics. I have been privileged to touch and pray for women not touched by anyone outside their own families, and who certainly had never seen another believer. God allowed us to see several families come to faith in Christ as we served Him in the city of Delhi. Currently I serve mentoring and interviewing folks here in the US to join in laboring for the Gospel among those who have no one to tell them about God's provision through the blood of Jesus. I also have the privilege of encouraging young women with unplanned pregnancies through ultrasound and pregnancy education.
