Greetings! I am interested in networking about opportunities for church-planting among unreached people groups, using medicine to open doors for the gospel.

I firmly believe that medical missions is a great door-opener for the gospel in unreached areas. Although short-term trips can be beneficial, I believe that one of the best things we can do is to work with long term church-planting teams, and that an ideal goal is to train and mentor indigenous healthcare workers, so that the gospel can be heard with fewer barriers culturally and relationally in an unreached part of the world.

I'm an Ob/Gyn currently in private practice for about 31 yrs, have had some past short-term medical experience in Central Asia, speak some French, & enjoy international friends and cultures. We have lived 4 years in Germany while I was working at a US Army hospital and we had some great short term trips with Operation Mobilization/Love Europe. My husband and I have been coordinators of several Perspectives courses since 2002 (check out www.perspectives.org), & also one Encountering the World of Islam course. I've attend this conference most years since ~1998 and am still waiting to see what the Lord has ahead for us! Maybe our upside-down picture will be right-side up on the other side of the planet. :)
