Joni and Friends is a disability ministry that has a mission statement to communicate the Gospel and equip Christ honoring churches worldwide to evangelize and disciple people affected by disabilities.
The Wheels for the World program is one that collects wheelchairs and equipment through volunteers all around the US. The equipment is restored to like new condition and send to partners in third world countries. We then have teams of OT's, PT's, Mechanics and support staff that fit and distribute the wheelchair and equipment. Every recipient is given the opportunity to hear the Gospel in their native tongue along with given the Gospel and/or a Joni Story.
