I discovered a passion to use medicine as ministry while volunteering on a medical mission trip to Dominican Republic as a college senior and then throughout medical training have been asking the Lord where and when He is calling me to serve overseas. Since college, I also have been exploring my identity as caucasian/American (my mother's side) and Indian (my father's side) as well as a passion for learning languages, first Spanish then Hindi -intermediate and now hopefully next Arabic. I also realize that He may have work for me to do here in the US, so I am working at a faith based federally qualified health center (Esperanza Health Center). I made a choice to follow Jesus at a young age of 12 years but through His revelation that He is true and just (1 John 1:9) despite my father not believing and a personal journey of growing in faith and seeking to please God and not my family. Recently, I have been given a passion to pray for muslims and better understand their struggle to know the truth of Jesus Christ and how to commit to following him amidst persecution. I am seeking a mentor to help in practical steps to explore a calling in missions.
