Summer--began 1st term as a career missionary at HBB Togo. Tremendous learning experience. So grateful for the medical missionaries who taught me so much about God and love and service.
1998 Moved to Odessa, Ukraine to begin church-based village outpatient clinics in places with minimal or no health care and no gospel witness. Learned Russian. Developed partnership with local pastors interested in evangelism. Within 10 years, we started clinics in 11 different locations in Odessa and Nikolaev oblasts, starting Bible studies, preaching points and church plants. Developed a model for village ministry that I am now teaching to Ukrainian Christian physicians while mentoring them in medical evangelism.
2010 Holly Friesen FNP joined me as career missionary. We started "Choose Life", a pro-life organization with Bible studies for women suffering emotional trauma after their abortions. 2014 we opened the Women's Center in Odessa, a pregnancy care center.
2014 Initiated Ukraine Crisis Fund in response to the war and ongoing refugee crisis.
To God be the glory, great things HE has done!! What a privilege to serve Him!
