Member Bio

Victor Mikebanyi is a Community Development specialist with a two-decade missionary experience in both restricted and open countries. He also has experience in church planting and leadership. Currently, he holds the position of a Regional Director of Life In Abundance International for the US & Caribbean programs; and coaching on/leading Wholistic Transformation Development ministry with Southeast Christian Church in the US (2012-todate). Prior to this, he was the LIA International Director of Programs covering LIA North, Horn of Africa and the Caribbean countries (2011-2012). By calling, he served as a missionary in the Horn of Africa with the Pentecostal Foreign Mission of Norway, where he co-initiated integrated development programs addressing issues in education, health and environment; and a missionary with Free Pentecostal Fellowship in Kenya, where he founded Penuel Educational Complex to address educational needs and social integration for refugees in Kenyan communities; and also was/is used as an outreach tool (1995-2007). He is the founder of Release International Mission that planted churches in Nairobi and among the Turkana Communities in Kenya. Prior to this he worked with Community of Free Pentecostal Churches in Africa as a pastor, a high school principal, a leader of Bible Schools Secretariat. He also assumed the role of secretary of the Regional Council of Churches in Itombwe, a CELPA ecclesiastic Region, which gave him good experience in church leadership and the understanding of church dynamics. He completed his Master of Science Degree in Community Development from Delta State University, MS, USA (2006), a BA in Community Development from Daystar University, Nairobi, Kenya (2003) and a Higher Diploma in Theology. His desire is to see the gospel preached and lived with the Wholistic Kingdom of God’s Perspective for healthy and sustainable missions and church. He is married to Ntonia Mikebanyi and father of five children.
