BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Eugene M. Lutz, R.Ph., FAPhA
Eugene M. Lutz, is co-owner and President of Pharmacy Services, Inc. a pharmacy consulting firm in Altoona, Iowa. He is past president of the Iowa Pharmacy Association and the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management.(APhA-APPM) and is a Fellow of APhA. Gene served two terms on the APhA Board of Trustees and as President of APhA (2004-2006). He is currently serving a 2ND 3 year term (2011-2014) on the APhA Foundation Board of Directors. Lutz is also serving his 2nd term on the Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International Board of Directors (2011-2014). He is also active internationally as a member of the Executive Committee of the Community Pharmacy Section of Federation International Pharmacy (FIP) 2010 to 2014 (2nd term). Gene and his wife Susan owned and operated Lutz Pharmacy and Lutz Long Term Care Pharmacy in Altoona for more than 37 years. In May 2012 they sold the pharmacies and converted their corporation to a practice that includes pharmacist consulting and relief pharmacist work.
