As a global mission community, Water With Blessings helps missioners and mothers partner to bring clean water to communities in the developing world. We do that through a program that empowers and equips mothers with a home-based filtration system--a $60 solution that provides clean water for multiple families over years.
The mothers, who call themselves the Water Women, are the real heroes of our story. In the name of Jesus, they make a commitment to filter water for their neighbors, day after day, as a sign of loving compassion.
All over the world, mothers are stepping forward to be Water Women. Their US mission partners bring them training materials and filter systems. Short-term missioners are thrilled to have a meaningful and life-giving ministry that is of real and lasting value for their mission friends. Long-term missioners are thrilled to find a sustainable development program in water that builds women's leadership as well as providing a reliable, long-lasting solution to the problem of dirty water. Health professionals are amazed at the rapid improvement in community health, freeing up their valuable skills for more complex health challenges.
This exciting and innovative way to conduct water missions offers true collaboration. The Water Women take the lead, even becoming the trainers. Missioners assist with organizational details, accountability and childcare arrangements.
