Dear Brethren in Christ.

Greetings to you all from Telugu Baptist Church India in the blessed name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - Grace and Peace be unto you from the Father which is in heaven - Amen.


It is a great privilege for me to share with you all about me and the ministry which is entrusted by the Lord Jesus Christ. I am Pastor.Ravi kumar from Telugu Baptist Church India, we are serving the Lord among rural DALIT community the word DALIT means ' Broken ' Crushed ' Least ' in the society, this community is consider as untouchables, low caste, and least out caste in the society . In order to bring them up as a equal citizens of India by showing the love of Jesus Christ we have started this church in the year 1986, according to the word of God from the HOLY BIBLE in Matthew:25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. According to this verse we have dedicated our life completely to serve the Lord among this community in our area. By the grace of God and His mercy other caste people are also coming into Christ and accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior through our words and deeds.

Apart from the Church Ministry we have started an NGO called Ashakiran
(A Rural Development Organization) to work for this community, Ashakiran means " Ray of Hope " By taking limited financial support from the local government to bring them as a equal citizens of India by doing some social activities like Community Transformation Programs such as Education, Health, Hygiene & Hiv/Aids Awareness programs etc. By the grace of God we have uploaded a website recently for this community, here is our NGO website www.ashakiranindia.org.

Ashakiran was established in the year 1999. This organization meets all requirements described order under section 12A approval under section 80G (5)(VI)of The Income Tax Act 1961 Govt of India, and to receive foreign contributions from all over the world we have foreign contributions tax deductible approval from the Govt of India under foreign contribution regulation act 2010 section 11(1)of the act Regd No: 010330179. All contributions to this organization are tax deductible and records of such contributions will be issued at the closing of each fiscal year by this organization. A complete financial audit is conducted annually under the supervision of all Board Members and Church Members as well.

We are seeking partnership with like minded churches,organizations & Individuals to bring them up this community by doing more activities for their welfare in the society.

Beloved ones in Christ, If you all have such a heart and burden upon this least community to bring them up as a equal citizens of India by giving them your helping hand for such people we welcome them in the name of Jesus Christ to show their concern, compassion and sacrifice for this community.

This small note is for people who want to know what God is doing through Telugu Baptist Church and Ashakiran Organization in India among this least DALIT community. God has given me this opportunity to write to you through GMHC (Global Missions Health Conference)

Luke : 4:18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor: he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
