I worked for 3 years in the Philippines with Wycliffe/SIL and now 12 years in Thailand at Cornerstone Counseling Foundation which primarily serves missionaries. Our staff serves about 500 missionaries each year on a donation basis. I provide psychiatric evaluations and psychotherapy. I am married with 5 grown children. I want to encourage mental health care professionals to consider working full time overseas to serve missionaries. I would also like to see models developed for training indigenous people in Mental Health and Christian counseling.
