I'm a native Texan, born in Beaumont in 1963. I attended Lamar University before being accepted into the medical school at the University of Texas at Houston. My Surgical Internship and Residency were completed at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston and Brackenridge Hospital in Austin. I began my surgical practice in Austin in 1994.
I am certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and am a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I am a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society. My particular interests include laparoscopic surgery, breast surgery and surgical oncology.
My wife Lorie and I have four children. I enjoy sport, outdoor activities, horses and, most of all, spending time with my wife and kids. We're active in our local church & my greatest satisfaction comes from honoring God with my life and surgical practice.
Recently, my wife and I founded Blessed To Give Ministries. We've been traveling Belize and other locations often, and in the process, have realized just how blessed we are. We want to give back. Our heart is to heal the sick, equip local leaders, & provide for the poor in Belize, Honduras & USA.
We're providing surgery to those in need, holding free clinics, and going above and beyond to reach those who need professional help. But more than that, we want to invest in local leaders & pastors to create lasting change. Finally, we want to pour out to those who may need basic things: Food for the hungry, bread for the thirsty, provision for those who have experienced emergency or disaster.
We now have our 501c3 and are looking to connect with other doctors & communities with similar hearts. If this resonates with you, please contact us. Our website is www.blessedtogiveministries.org & you can email us at [email protected].
