In 1985 God arranged for me to become the Press Secretary for a US Congressman who was the ranking member of the Health Subcommittee in the House of Representatives. Knowing that I would be asked many questions about HIV/AIDS, he assigned me to become his expert on the subject. In the more than three decades since I have been studying the disease and teaching about it throughout the US and around the world. For many years I was developing HIV education materials for schools in North America and traveling to 38 states to present motivational HIV assemblies in public and private schools as well as preaching in churches.
God has ordained me as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and now gives me the privilege of serving Him as a missionary. He allows me to travel throughout the world equipping and empowering local Christian leaders to develop creative, new HIV education and ministry tools unique to their specific cultures.
My book, HIV Hope for the Nations, is now it its second edition and is used throughout the world for HIV education.
I have had the privilege of leading breakout sessions at five Global Missions Health Conferences and attended five International AIDS Conferences including serving as a chaplain in Melbourne, Australia, in 2014, and Durban, South Africa, this past summer.
