Member Bio
I have served Partners in Compassionate Care since 2011, first as an advisory board member and then on the Board of Directors. I made my first trip to South Sudan in 2012 and then returned again in 2015. I work closely with my local ministry partner in ministering to the women in the greater Bor region.
I am currently a fund development officer at Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, MI and together with my husband, Dan, am an appointee with Pioneers preparing for the field in 2016. We plan to re-open an abandoned school as a Christian boarding school. The school is located just 1.5km from Memorial Christian Hospital where we've served these past years.
Teresa is a graduate of the HEART (Hunger Education Action Resource Training) Village in Lake Wales, Florida, completed her TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate at Kuyper College. Teresa is also trained in Simply the Story oral Bible study method which she uses both in the States and in South Sudan.
