About the organization
Organization
In 1985, AIMS founder, Dr. Howard Foltz, formed the now Accelerating International Mission Strategies to mobilize churches and agencies to focus on Unreached People Groups (UPGs).
In 1989, CBN and AIMS partnered for ministry in Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union resulting in over 600 pillar churches planted and over 44,000 house churches formed. Then, AIMS partnered with leaders in Ghana resulting in more than 1,500 churches planted among UPGs in Ghana.
In 1994, AIMS was introduced to the Evangelical Churches Fellowship of Ethiopia (ECFE). At the time, ECFE had no missionaries. AIMS has done 26 trainings in Ethiopia. They now have over 1,600 missionaries reaching UPGs.
In 2000, AIMS introduced Equipping for the Harvest (EFTH), the cornerstone of our overseas training. Since then, we have conducted 288 trainings, resulting in over 34, 473 churches planted by our partners, more than 2.2 million salvations and hundreds of missionaries sent.
