ASAP is a new nonprofit charity formed in 2014 by an RN with a lifelong desire to help those in developing countries lead healthier more productive lives. We have had 2 very successful mission trips to remote areas in Ghana so far. We have seen and treated over 2000 people with very limited access to healthcare services. Our next trip is planned for Fall 2015. We partner with an established charity organization in Ghana who arranges our project sites, accommodations, interpreters, meals and in country transportation. They accompany us throughout our trip. We work side by side with local healthcare providers and share our knowledge and expertise. Our trips also provide many opportuities to interact closely with the local people to learn about their culture and it is a mutually beneficial experience. We also participate in a Vulnerable Children's program in which we visit rural schools to deliver supplies, shoes, soccer balls and hygiene education. Our focus is on women and children.
