Mark R. Cruise, MDiv serves as Principal of Free Clinic Solutions. Mark was Executive Director of the Virginia Association of Free Clinics from 1997-2006. Prior to this, he served as Executive Director of the Free Clinic of the New River Valley, an award-winning clinic in southwestern Virginia. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Boston University School of Theology and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He was ordained in the American Baptist Churches, USA in 1987 and served churches in Massachusetts and Ohio before answering God's call to serve the poor through health care. He has completed fellowships and accreditation programs with the First Virginia Chapter of the National Society of Fundraising Executives, the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia, the American Society of Association Executives, and the Policy Governance Academy.
