In 1985, Mozambique was declared the nation with the highest level of human suffering on earth. In the same year it became our privilege to proclaim in this desperate land the love and grace of God in Jesus Christ through a medical minsitry that over the years has grown to encompass church planting, Christian literature distribution and nation-wide pastors' conferences and training seminars. The mission began by furnishing the lone doctor , a general surgeon, for a small rural government hospital on the outskirts of Nampula, Mozambique's second largest city. Through a string of remarkable events, the Lord provided all the equipment and supplies needed to perform over 3,500 operations at a cost to the mission of only a few thousand dollars. From 1990 to 1998, the Lord provided the perfect conditions for establishing just such a testimony at this small, poor, and vulnerable rural hospital. The ministry how has a completed hospital building and equipment. What we need is doctors.
