RecycloCraftz started in 2008 when founder, occupational therapist and veteran homeschooling mom of 8 lived in Zambia for 4 1/2 years. When she saw and understood the need in the life of her pastor's wife and family she was led to make a difference. RecycloCraftz began. Thru crafting beautiful and unique purses, jewelry, bowls and other craftz using upcycled fabric scraps, damaged clothes and cloth, paper, VCR tapes and more which are sold in the US and Zambia lives are transformed. Now a Non-Profit organization, lives have changed because of a steady source of income, educational gains for the 40 members and the children they care for, as well as a grounding in a Christ-centered world view. Using a community center outreach approach in the capital city of Lusaka lives there is more food on the table, more health care available and educational opportunities that did not exist before. We have worked with a trusted group of people with whom others could share their gifts and skills.
