We became part of CMDA in 2005, but our origins date back to 1988. We started as a Bible study for doctor’s wives at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Over the years, we have found that doctor’s and dentist’s wives share many similar and sometimes unique challenges, and that we can support one another as we influence others for Christ. We understand one another, we agree on the challenges of a medical marriage, and we point each other to look to God’s Word for direction for our lives. Today there are 40 chapters of SBS across the USA and internationally. Wives with husbands in Medical or Dental School, residency, and fellowship training as well as staff wives are involved. Using this platform, we connect with both churched and non-churched wives and share our love and knowledge of the Lord and because of God’s powerful Word they are changed.
