Supplies Over Seas supports missions with recovered surplus medical supplies and equipment. Supplies can be obtained in amounts as small as a suitcase up to a 40-foot ocean going container. For shorter term missions, SOS operates a "Medical Team Store" where obtained supplies can be packed in a suitcase for hand carry. If applicant is not able to visit the warehouse in KY, supplies can be ordered in a Custom Box. For larger or longer term missions, SOS provides medical supplies through the Custom Pallet or Container Shipment program. Since 1993 Supplies Over Seas has shipped more than 655 tons of medical surplus to over 101 countries. SOS is also a “green” organization, recycling equipment and materials that would otherwise end up in the landfill.
