The catalyst to our organization is the ambition and purpose of a young generation. Universities and students across the country drive our effort to show their commitment to community. Currently, our movement has roots at 7 institutions, with immediate plans to expand. Wrap Up America's hallmark event is a 'Fort Building Contest', which encourages teams to collect as many blankets as possible to construct giant blanket forts. The nosalgic events drives thousands of blanket donations while heightening awareness on the needs of area homeless. Beyond our fun and impactful event, we look to educate and engage students in homelessness issues. One of the best ways this is accomplished is by involving them in the blanket distribution process, which directly delivers blankets to soup kitchens and homeless shelters in need.
